ITINERARY

This morning we depart early for an awe-inspiring train ride. This 114-mile excursion truly showcases the rugged beauty of the region. Enjoy the majestic views of the colourful mixed forests of the Canadian Shield. Cross towering trestles and see the shores of northern rivers and lakes.
The train will descend to the floor of Agawa Canyon Park where you will have an hour and a half to explore. There are picnic areas and several trails to waterfalls and if you are energetic, you can climb 300 stairs for a panoramic view of the surroundings.
We return from our train ride at 6 p.m. and will transfer back to our hotel for the evening. You are free to relax and enjoy the facilities. Dinner is on your own tonight.

DAY 3 – TRAVEL TO SUDBURY

Today, we travel to Sudbury with comfort stops along the way, including a stop at the Northwest Trading Company in Espanola for some shopping. We continue on to Sudbury where we make stops for photos at the Big Nickel and some of the murals in Sudbury. Lunch is on your own in Sudbury, after which we visit Science North. Science North is an interactive science museum and Northern Ontario’s most popular attraction. Here you will enjoy an IMAX presentation (confirmation of title in summer 2023) and a presentation at the planetarium, plus some free time to explore the museum.

After our visit to Science North, we head to Hilton Garden Inn for the evening. Enjoy the pool, fitness centre and on-site restaurant. Dinner is on you own tonight.

DAY 4 – MUSKOKA BOAT CRUISE AND RETURN HOME

After breakfast, we head to Port Carling for a boat cruise and lunch aboard the Peerless II. We will be cruising for 2.5 hours on Lake Muskoka, one of Muskoka’s most prestigious lakes. Take in breathtaking views and the stunning architecture on this lake.
We will make comfort stops on our return and expect to arrive at home in the evening (at approximately 6 p.m. in Bowmanville) with some amazing pictures and memories of your trip.
